Launches its New Compact, Low-power Industrial 8.4-inch LCD Panel

Arista Corporation, a leading
industrial PC solutions provider, introduced today its new industrial
8.4-inch LCD Panel Computer, the ARP-2608AP. Designed to meet the
demands for mission critical, high performance and reliable operation,
the unit is ideal for any factory automation, facility monitoring,
machine automation and environmental monitoring. The ARP-2608AP
features a small size, low-power consumption and is wall-mountable.
The new ARP-2608AP is equipped with an
8.4-inch LCD and 3.5-inch embedded board, which incorporates a VIA
Eden 667MHz processor. System memory for the unit is comprised of one
144-pin SO-DIMM socket with up to 512MB of memory capacity. The Local
Area Network (LAN) uses a Realtek 8139 C PCI PnP Base-T Ethernet
controller. Video support features a built-in VGA controller with up
to 32MB of shared memory for display.
The system is built with three RS-232
ports, a 4-Wire resistive touch screen and an optional PCMCIA for
wireless applications. In addition, the ARP-2608AP has an on-board
CompactFlash™ Type-1 socket, an optional 2.5-inch hard disk drive (HDD)
and one 16-bit PC/104 extension connector.
