RMA Return Types

  • DOA Credit: Customer must report DOA to Arista RMA dept. within 14 days after ship date. Authorization and product management approval are required to return product for credit. Defective product must be returned to Arista within 14 days after the date RMA number is issued. A credit will be issued after receiving the defective product from customer.

  • DOA Cross-ship: Customer must report DOA to Arista RMA dept. within 14 days after ship date. Authorization and product management approval are required to return product for cross-ship. Defective product must be returned to Arista within 14 days after the date RMA number is issued. A DOA cross-ship will send out within 7 days after the date RMA number is issued. Arista will invoice cross-shipment after ship date and credit back after receiving the defective product from customer.  

  • Evaluation Credit: Customer must notify Arista RMA dept. before or at the end of the evaluation period if you decide to return the evaluation unit. An RMA number must be obtained from Arista prior to returning the unit. Arista does not cover return shipping expenses. Any product returned to Arista without an RMA number will be refused and no credit will be issued. Evaluation product must be returned in the original packaging and be in “as new" condition. Any damages will be assessed and the cost of repair or refurbishment will be deducted from the credit issued. Evaluation product must be returned to Arista within 14 days after the date RMA number is issued. A credit will be issued after receiving the evaluation product from customer.  

  • Warranty Repair: The RMA number will be valid for 14 days after the date RMA number is issued.
     
  • Out-of-Warranty Repair: Customer pays the repair, shipping and component costs if products fall outside of the product warranty period.


Return Shipping Instructions

  • Products will not be accepted by Arista Corp. if not accompanied by a valid RMA number, which must be clearly marked on the outside of the package.

  • You must write the RMA number on the shipping label. The RMA dept. can not process a return without this number.

  • Products must be shipped prepaid. Arista does not cover return shipping expenses unless return is due to Arista's error such as over shipment, mis-shipment, or sales error.

  • It is recommended that the customer declare value on return shipment since the customer is 100% responsible for the product while in transit to Arista.

  • Package products carefully to avoid transit damage.

RMA Rejection Policy

Arista reserves the right to return any Customer Returns that differ from the information given on the original Return Material Authorization (RMA) request, such as:

  • Invalid RMA number
  • RMA # not visible and not on the box shipping label
  • RMA condition code given by customer differs from actual product condition
  • Expired RMA number
  • Unauthorized return (no RMA # was issued)
  • No Arista serial number on the product
  • Product has physically damaged

Customer Responsibility

  • By requesting service, the eligible customer acknowledges the terms of the limited warranty, including the disclaimer and limitation of liability provision. Prior to seeking service, the end user must back-up all data, programs, files and/or similar digital documents that may become damaged and/or lost due to service. Arista Corporation, WITHOUT LIMITATION, is not responsible for lost, damaged or otherwise destroyed data due to service.

Arista Limited Liability

  • Arista is not responsible for product lost during shipment. All products being returned for Limited Warranty repair or replacement must be sent freight prepaid. Each box must reference the following information: Customer/Contact Name · Return Address · Phone Number · RMA Number (issued by an authorized ARISTA source). The RMA number must be written on the outside of the shipping container for identification purposes. Shipments not properly identified will be refused.
